Wilbur Kim is a Partner for the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Wilbur works with family foundations and cultural institutions based in the US and Europe. His focus is on fixed income, private credit, and currency issues. As a member of the CA Credit Committee, Wilbur also participates in many of the firm’s client conferences on public/private credit investment opportunities. In 2024, he co-authored a paper discussing private credit opportunities for private clients.
Outside of work, Wilbur serves as treasurer and board member for Arlington Heights Nursery School. He has previously served on other non-profit secondary school boards and USTA national volunteer committees.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Wilbur worked in the international investment field for over ten years. He was a Portfolio Manager at Record Treasury Management, Fidelity Investments, and Massachusetts Financial Services. Prior to his investment experience, Wilbur was an Engineer and Financial Treasury Analyst with General Motors Corporation. He worked in several operating divisions before moving to General Motors Treasurer’s Office in NYC.
Wilbur is a CFA® charterholder. He received his MBA from Dartmouth College and his BA from Kettering University.
