Philip Walton is a Partner for the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Philip joined Cambridge Associates in 1999 and has more than 20 years of experience as an investor. Philip works with a variety of private clients and institutional investors to develop sound investment policies, build customized asset allocations, lead manager selection and monitoring, and build private investment portfolios.
Throughout his tenure at the firm, Philip has also held a number of leadership positions, including establishing the firm’s Private Client Practice and leading the firm’s middle and back-office operations. He also established the firm’s Single Investor Fund (SIF) service to enable clients to effectively build complex alternative asset portfolios. He also shares his expertise as a speaker at both client and industry conferences. Philip is deeply involved in the local cross-country skiing community and leads the board of Eastern Mass Cross-Country, an organization which serves youth across the Boston area.
Before joining Cambridge Associates, Philip was an Investment Banking Associate at Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette, where he gained experience within their private fund group. He also served as Vice President of Goodale Associates, a fundraising consulting firm, managing the firm’s day-to-day activities for several clients’ fundraising efforts.
Philip received his MBA from Dartmouth College and his BA from Williams College.
