Hayden Gallary

Managing Director, Pension Practice

Hayden Gallary is a Managing Director for the Pension Practice at Cambridge Associates.

Hayden joined Cambridge Associates in 2008 and has more than 20 years of investment experience. He oversees portfolios in the pension, family office, and non-profit space, serving in both an OCIO and non-discretionary capacity. He also leads the firm’s defined contribution efforts, including setting investment strategy, conducting manager research, and lending in the creation of research publications and thought leadership. Hayden is the head of Cambridge Associates’ San Francisco office.

Outside of the firm, Hayden serves on the board of the Defined Contribution Alternatives Association (DCALTA), where he is the chair of the research committee.

Before joining Cambridge Associates, Hayden worked at The Rock Creek Group, a diversified hedge fund-of-funds. Prior to that, he was a member of the Global Asset Allocation Group at Putnam Investments, where he focused on quantitative research regarding short- and intermediate-term allocation decisions across global equity and fixed income markets.

Hayden received his MBA from Sloan School of Management at MIT and his BA in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
