Alex Koriath, CFA
Partner, Head of UK & European Pension Practice, Head of the Munich Office
Alex Koriath is a Partner at Cambridge Associates and leading the EMEA Pension Practice for over a decade. Since the opening in 2020, he has been heading the Munich office and, as of 2024, also serves as the EMEA Regional Head. Alex primarily works with pension funds and insurance clients across Europe, taking on roles such as CIO, Lead Advisor, or Senior Advisor in client mandates. He provides guidance in strategy, risk management, and portfolio construction, with a particular focus on alternative investments. With over twenty years of experience in integrating private investments into institutional investment strategies, he assists his clients in achieving their long-term goals. Additionally, he is a member of Cambridge Associates’ Global Infrastructure Co-Investment Committee and the Global DEI Council.
Beyond his professional duties, Alex is committed to education and training in the finance sector. He lectures in Corporate Financial Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and has been a guest lecturer in Finance at the London School of Economics. Previously, Alex was a member of the Exams and Education Committees of the CFA Society UK and serves on selection committees for German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
Before joining Cambridge Associates, Alex was Head of Manager Research in the Investment Advisory Team at KPMG. Prior to that, he gained investment experience at Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow and worked in the investment team of Allianz Group.
He holds an MSc in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) from Portsmouth Business School. He is also a CFA® Charterholder.
