Venture Capital in China May See AI-driven Rebound

Senior Investment Director Scolet Ma’s insights on Chinese venture capital were recently featured in the latest issue of Asia Asset Management. According to Ma, China’s VC landscape is changing due to a tough fundraising environment and evolving market opportunities which will require managers to reinvent themselves. She says VC managers must understand technology innovation and regulatory and geopolitical risks, as well as possess the investment skills to invest in this changing market. Overall, venture capital fundraising and investment activity is expected to increase in 2025.
