Melinda Wright is Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and a Partner at Cambridge Associates.
Melinda leads the firm’s efforts to increase diverse representation internally and industry-wide. She drives talent and leadership development and ensures that DEI and CSR goals are integrated across the business. She is also a member the firm’s Global DEI Council which works to build a more inclusive firm culture.
In 2015, Melinda was a recipient of the Triangle Business Journal’s “Diverse Leaders Awards.” She has also participated in the McKinsey Fellowship for Black Executives. Outside of work, she is a board member for Harlem Lacrosse and a member of the Advisory Council for Lemonada Media, a podcast network.
Prior to joining CA, Melinda worked at the Walton Family Foundation where she helped launch a $100M philanthropic initiative to increase diverse representation. Before that, she was Senior VP of Alumni Diversity at Teach For America, spearheading their first Alumni of Color Association. She also worked at Howard University, Westminster School, and Teach For America.
Melinda holds a JD/MA from George Washington University and a BA from Cornell University. She also holds a certificate in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University.
