Dean Dimizas is a Partner in the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Dean has over 25 years of investment experience across asset classes, sectors, and geographies. He advises and manages diversified portfolios for families, family offices, and non-profit institutions globally. Typically, these clients have significant exposure to alternative assets and target high levels of compounding over decades while minimizing the probability of permanent capital loss. Dean al so has extensive experience advising hedge fund and private equity general partners on their personal portfolios.
Dean and his team allocate half of their time on primary research, sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities across funds and directs/co-investments. Over the last fifteen years, Dean has sourced highly successful investments and built strong relationships with fund managers across niche fundamental equities in the US and China, early-stage venture capital, growth equity, and life sciences. He is known for his investment rigor, independent thinking, ability to work with complexity, and his deep dedication to clients which have led to long-term relationships.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Dean worked as an investment banking summer associate with Goldman Sachs in London while attending business school. He also worked at EFG Telesis Finance, a leading investment bank in Greece. In this role, he advised large corporate clients on a wide range of corporate finance transactions. Dean also completed his mandatory military service in the Greek Army(Presidential Guard).
Dean is a CFA® charterholder. He received his MBA from Harvard University and his BS from the American College of Greece
