Rich Carson is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates.
Rich leads the firm’s data and technology strategies across private investments, including developing strategic partnerships. With over 40 years of investment experience, he regularly contributes to thought leadership regarding private investment performance and risk. This includes publishing research, attending external conferences, and participating in industry efforts to help shape best practices.
Rich has held various roles throughout his 12 years at Cambridge Associates, including conducting private investment capital markets research and leading the development of CA’s private investments benchmarks. Before joining Cambridge Associates, Rich spent 26 years at Monitor Group, first as a Partner in its strategy consultancy (now Monitor Deloitte) and later as a Managing Director at private equity affiliates Monitor Clipper Partners and Monitor Capital.
Rich received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Texas A&M University. He is fluent in Italian.
