Katherine Armstrong is a Managing Director for the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Katherine joined CA in 2005 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial and asset management industries. She leads an investment team that works with several families and endowments located throughout the US, advising on total portfolio assets of over $3 billion.
Katherine has experience working with entrepreneurial and multi-generational families. She speaks at industry conferences on the topics of asset allocation, impact investing, and family philanthropy. Her philanthropic efforts focus on supporting access to education for all and she volunteers her time serving on boards and committees of numerous schools, foundations, and school districts.
Katherine began her career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where she worked for seven years in both the Private Wealth Management Division and the Equities Division—where she launched and ran the Middle Markets effort for the West Coast. After her tenure at Goldman Sachs & Co., Katherine worked for Franklin Street Partners in Chapel Hill, North Carolina as a Co‑Portfolio Manager for a multi-manager program that invested in top-tier niche managers across seven asset classes.
Katherine received her BA in Political Science and a Certificate in Markets and Management from Duke University.
