Adam Duncan is the Head of Investment Science and a Partner at Cambridge Associates.
Adam has been with the firm for over ten years. In his role, he oversees the Investment Science team, leveraging data and technology to improve investment performance, governance and oversight, and operational efficiency. He is also spearheading the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance investment practices and operations.
Previously, Adam built and led the Portfolio Modeling and Analytics group, where he oversaw CA’s development of the factor models and portfolio decomposition tools. He has also held critical roles in manager research, focusing on diversifying asset classes and strategies.
Adam is a voting member on key CA committees such as Hedge Fund Rating and AI Steering. He also serves on the teaching faculty of Cambridge’s INVEST Academy and is a mentor for Ignite, Cambridge Associates’ mentorship program.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Adam was Head of the North American Global Currencies Client Risk Advisory Group at Credit Suisse. Before that, he spent twelve years at JPMorgan Chase, where he held several roles focused on the trading, structuring, and sales of fixed income and foreign exchange derivatives.
He holds an MS in Finance and a BA in Information and Decision Systems from Carnegie Mellon.
