Meisan Lim is a Managing Director for the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Meisan joined CA in 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience as an investor. She advises over $12 billion in assets. Previously, Meisan led the firm’s efforts around researching and advising on hedge funds, specifically uncorrelated strategies in the Americas. Additionally, she worked directly with pension, endowment, and foundation clients, advising a variety of institutional investors on hedge fund investment issues such as asset allocation strategy, manager selection, risk management, and investment program evaluation.
Outside of work, Meisan is actively involved in the advocacy of female investment professionals through her involvement in the 100 Women in Finance Boston Education Committee.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Meisan spent nearly eight years at Omega Asset Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of a European family office. As Director of Hedge Fund Research, she contributed to the success of the Cerrado Fund, which was nominated for Best Global Equity Fund for four consecutive years by Hedge Fund Intelligence’s Invest Hedge, based on the last five years’ returns. She also helped launch an uncorrelated fund-of-funds product. Prior to that, Meisan worked at Apollo Management, Guggenheim Partners, Evergreen Investments (now Wells Fargo), Tsai Capital, and Bloomberg LP.
She received her MS from Columbia University and her BA from Middlebury College. She is a CFA® charterholder.
